VIRTUAL TRADING COMPETITION OF APRIL 14, 2025

CoinTradeUp («organizer») located at 50 avenue des Champs-Elysées 75008 Paris France.

By participating in the competition (as defined below), you expressly agree to be bound by these official rules ("official rules") and by the decisions of the sponsor, including but not limited to decisions regarding eligibility, winners, and interpretation of the terms used in these official rules, which are final and binding in all respects.

The weekly grand trading competition (“competition”) sponsored by the sponsor begins at 00:00:01 UTC on Monday, April 14, 2025, and ends at 23:59:59 UTC on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Registration for the grand contest is done through the challenges offered during the week. (see the list of eligible challenges below).
To participate in the grand trading competition for the week, you must be registered for at least one virtual trading challenge during the week.

The competition duration is 7 days. All times mentioned in these official rules are expressed in UTC. The sponsor's server will be the official clock for the contest. All entries must be received (as defined below) before the contest registration closes to participate in the contest or win a prize.

The competition is open to individuals ("you") who (1) are 18 years of age or older or have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the date of registration; (2) are legal residents of the European Union; and (3) are not subject to controls or sanctions by authorities. A user is allowed to register for the contest only once. Failure to comply with eligibility conditions will result in disqualification from participation and forfeiture of any prizes. Persons located outside the eligible territory are not allowed to participate or win a prize. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who, in the organizer's opinion, could negatively impact its image. THIS CONTEST IS VOID OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. The Organizer's decisions regarding eligibility and all other aspects of the Contest are final and binding, subject to applicable laws.

You must register for the virtual trading challenges regularly offered on CoinTradeUp. Each challenge allows you to earn points, which are tallied weekly to determine the ranking.
For the purposes of the competition, only the trading activity conducted on the challenge accounts is considered. Transactions made on the main virtual wallet are not taken into account.

Eligible challenges for this week:

A total of 122 points will be awarded across all challenges eligible for the grand trading competition of the week.

Only simulated trading is allowed within the competition. 

To qualify for a prize and be part of the ranking, a participant must complete at least one transaction on one eligible challenge. 

A participant's ranking during and at the end of the competition is determined based on the points accumulated by participating in the various eligible virtual trading challenges. During the competition, rankings are updated in real-time.

The competition results will be available at the end of the competition but are subject to modification after verification of the integrity of the transactions carried out during the contest. The results will be posted no later than three (3) business days after the contest end date.

The prizes described below will be awarded at the end of the competition period and after the winners have been determined by the sponsor ("prizes"). No substitution, assignment, or transfer of prizes is permitted except by the sponsor, who reserves the right to replace prizes with others of equal or greater value. The sponsor is not responsible for errors or delays in awarding the prizes. In case of a dispute concerning the identity of a potential winner, the organizer has the right to make the final decision on the winner's identity at its sole discretion. All currencies mentioned in these official rules are expressed in euros.

Prizes will be distributed among the top 3 participants in the competition who achieved the highest number of points on the competition. For each challenge, unexecuted orders will be automatically canceled and not considered in the profit calculation. Open positions will be closed automatically with a market order at the end of the contest and so will be counted in the profit calculation on the specific challenge or contest.

Each winner is considered a potential winner pending verification, including but not limited to verifying eligibility, compliance with the competition's general terms, and completing any required documentation as determined by the sponsor at its sole discretion. The organizer is not responsible for any potential prize notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by a potential winner for any reason. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within five (5) days of the first contact attempt, the organizer may select another potential winner from the remaining eligible entries.

Prizes will be distributed as follows:

The total approximate value is 35 €. Prizes will only be awarded via bank transfer. If two participants have made the same number of points and both claim a particular position, the prize corresponding to that position and the next will be combined and divided equally between these participants. Participants ranking after them will receive the prize corresponding to their position relative to the winners above (for example, if two people tie for first place, and the first and second prizes are split, the next winner will receive the third prize). A maximum of 3 winners will be awarded a prize.

In the event of a dispute over the identity of participants or winners, the organizer will have the final say. You agree that between you and the organizer, the latter has the exclusive right to settle all questions and disputes arising from the competition and that all decisions of the organizer related to the competition are final and binding. The sponsor reserves the right to disqualify and prosecute, to the fullest extent permitted by law, any participant or winner suspected of tampering with the contest, the registration process, or participation, of violating the official rules, or of not having played fairly.

 

The sponsor is not responsible for prizes that cannot be awarded. Winners may be responsible for all costs and expenses not mentioned herein. Prizes may be declared as income for a winner, and all state/provincial/territorial and local taxes, fees, surcharges, and taxes (whether foreign or domestic, including income taxes, sales taxes, and import taxes) on the prizes are the sole responsibility of the prize winners. Please consult a tax professional to discuss your situation. Winners may be required to complete required tax forms or other documents requested within the time frame specified by the sponsor. The sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition for any reason, including if the fairness of the contest is compromised. Failure to comply with any of the requirements set forth in the official rules may result in disqualification or the forfeiture of a prize. There is a limit of one (1) prize per participant.

Each winner may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, and a publicity release, which, among other things, will allow the sponsor to use the winner's name, photograph, social media post (including video or photo), voice, prize information, opinions, and biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without further compensation where permitted by law, including promoting the winner on the sponsor's website. Unless prohibited, participation in the competition constitutes your consent to the sponsor's use of your name, photograph, image, social media post (including video or photo), voice, prize information, opinions, and biographical information for promotional purposes in all media without further payment or compensation.

BY REGISTERING AND PARTICIPATING IN THIS COMPETITION, YOU: (A) REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY YOU IN CONNECTION WITH THE COMPETITION IS TRUE, ACCURATE, AND COMPLETE; AND (B) AGREE TO COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE, AND FEDERAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. Any attempt by a participant or any other individual to damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest is a violation of these official rules as well as civil and criminal laws. Should the organizer believe or learn that such an attempt has been made, is being made, or will be made, the organizer reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any responsible participant or individual to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.

EACH PRIZE IS PROVIDED (OR WILL BE AWARDED) "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, AND THE SPONSOR AND CONTEST ENTITIES HEREBY DISCLAIM ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT) REGARDING ANY PRIZE PROVIDED OR MADE AVAILABLE IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST.

BY PARTICIPATING, YOU HEREBY HOLD THE SPONSOR, THE CONTEST ENTITIES, AUTHORIZED PARTIES, SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS (INCLUDING X, TIK TOK, FACEBOOK, AND INSTAGRAM), AND THEIR AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SHAREHOLDERS (COLLECTIVELY, "RELEASED PARTIES") HARMLESS FROM ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, RIGHTS, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN WHOLE OR IN PART DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM THE CONTEST, PARTICIPATION IN ANY CONTEST-RELATED ACTIVITY, OR RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, AS WELL AS CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY, AND THE COLLECTION, USE, AND/OR SHARING BY THE SPONSOR AND CONTEST ENTITIES OF PARTICIPANTS' PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION OR FOR ANY PRINTING, PRODUCTION, TYPOGRAPHICAL, OR HUMAN ERROR. THE RELEASED PARTIES ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY ERROR, OMISSION, INTERRUPTION, DELETION, DEFECT, OR DELAY IN OPERATION OR TRANSMISSION, OR FOR ALTERATIONS TO ENTRIES. THE RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEM WITH, OR TECHNICAL MALFUNCTION OF, ANY TELEPHONE NETWORK OR LINES, ONLINE SYSTEMS, SERVERS, OR PROVIDERS, COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, SOFTWARE, FAILURE TO RECEIVE ANY ENTRY DUE TO TECHNICAL PROBLEMS, OR CONGESTION ON THE INTERNET OR ON ANY WEBSITE, HUMAN ERRORS OF ANY KIND, OR ANY COMBINATION THEREOF, INCLUDING ANY INJURY OR DAMAGE TO PARTICIPANTS' OR OTHER PERSONS' COMPUTERS, WIRELESS DEVICES, OR OTHER EQUIPMENT RELATED TO OR RESULTING FROM PARTICIPATION, DOWNLOAD, OR UPLOAD OF ANY MATERIAL RELATED TO THE CONTEST, OR IF FOR ANY REASON THE CONTEST CANNOT BE CONDUCTED AS PLANNED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INFECTION BY COMPUTER VIRUSES, BUGS, TAMPERING, UNAUTHORIZED INTERVENTION, FRAUD, TECHNICAL FAILURES, OR OTHER CAUSES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE RELEASED PARTIES.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THE RELEASED PARTIES BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ATTORNEY'S FEES, DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ANY ACCESS AND/OR USE OF ANY WEBSITE, OR THE INTERRUPTION OF ACCESS TO ANY MATERIAL, OR ANY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OR PARTICIPATION IN OR ATTENDANCE AT OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY PRIZE AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST.

The organizer reserves the right at any time and at its sole discretion to disqualify and/or deem ineligible to participate in this Contest any individual whom the organizer believes has: (A) tampered with the entry process or the operation of the contest or any website; (B) acted in violation of these official rules, the sponsor's privacy policy, or other terms, conditions, or guidelines; (C) acted in bad faith, unsportsmanlike, or disruptive manner; (D) disrupted or undermined the legitimate operation of the contest; or (E) harassed, abused, threatened, or intimidated any other person. The sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from such a person to the fullest extent permitted by law. If an insufficient number of eligible entries are received and/or the sponsor is prevented from awarding prizes or continuing the contest as intended due to an event beyond its control ("Force Majeure"), including but not limited to fire, flood, natural or man-made epidemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil disturbance, threat or terrorist activity, war (declared or undeclared), or any law, order, or regulation of any government, state, or local authority, health crisis, court order, or jurisdiction, the sponsor will have the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the contest. Only the quantity of prizes described in these official rules will be awarded.

 

The sponsor reserves the right to shorten, extend, modify, or cancel the contest at its sole discretion at any time without prior notice, even if such action may affect your ability to win a prize. The sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other errors in the printing or description of the contest. Entries are void if they are illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, mutilated, forged, mechanically reproduced, irregular in any way, or non-compliant with these official rules. Although the sponsor attempts to ensure the integrity of the contest, the sponsor and contest entities are not responsible for the actions of participants or others related to the competition, including attempts by participants or others to circumvent the official rules or interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the competition. In the event of a conflict between the details contained in these official rules and the details contained in the contest's advertising materials, the contest details as set forth in these official rules shall prevail.

 

If any provision of these official rules is found to be illegal, void, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision will be deemed severable from these official rules and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. Titles and headings are used in these official rules solely for convenience of reference and will not be deemed to affect in any way the meaning or intent of these official rules or any provision hereof.

 

Unless prohibited, all disputes relating to the competition will be exclusively resolved through confidential and binding arbitration conducted in Paris, France. All disputes will be resolved according to the rules of the competent authority, applying French law, without regard to conflict of law principles. You and the sponsor agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of French courts. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the sponsor may seek injunctive relief or other equitable remedies from a court of competent jurisdiction. You and the sponsor agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action. You and the sponsor agree that any cause of action arising from or related to the contest must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action arises; otherwise, the cause of action is permanently barred.
