HOW DOES IT WORK?

CoinTradeUp is, above all, a trading simulator. It allows you to trade cryptocurrencies without any risk on more than 240 different cryptocurrencies.
The cryptocurrency prices available on CoinTradeUp are updated in real-time.

When you register, you are given a virtual account with a balance of €100,000. This virtual portfolio allows you to perform all types of trading operations.
Buy, short sell, market orders, or limit orders – all classic trading operations are possible with your virtual portfolio. (1)

To make the simulation more realistic, you cannot have a negative balance in your virtual portfolio.
However, you have the option to reset your virtual portfolio and start over with your €100,000 virtual balance whenever you wish.

Similarly, short sales increase your engagement balance but do not affect your cash balance (virtual) until the buyback is made.

All quotes on the CoinTradeUp site are in euros, and the exchangeable products come from COINBASE (https://www.coinbase.com). (2)
If a product is not available in euros on COINBASE, CoinTradeUp performs a real-time conversion based on the USD/EUR pair. (3)

You can reset your virtual portfolio at any time. This will erase all previously made transactions, and you can start again with a €100,000 virtual portfolio. (4)

(1): You can buy or short sell a crypto asset. Order type available for all members: market order. Order types available with the TRADER pack: limit order, stop order, stop-limit order.
(2): COINBASE provides the real-time pricing of the crypto assets available on CoinTradeUp. In case of unavailability, COINGECKO is used.
(3): On exchange platforms like CoinBase, not all pairs are available, and for some crypto assets, a euro quote may not be available. In this case, CoinTradeUp performs the conversion based on the real-time USD/EUR pair quote.
(4): You can reset your virtual portfolio up to 3 times per month. To go further, you can subscribe to the TRADER pack.
